Winter in Turkey
Türkiye is located in the Balkans and the Anatolian Peninsula, washed by four seas. Climatic conditions vary significantly depending on the region of the country:

December
The first month of winter – favorable time for relaxation at the ski resorts of Uludag, Palandoken, Sarykamysh and others. During the day it is quite warm in the mountains, the thermometer does not fall below +2…-1°C, at night it can get colder to -10°C.
On the Mediterranean coast the average air temperature is +15°C. There are storms at sea, and it rains quite often.
January
In most of Turkey in January, the average temperature is about +12…+15°C during the day and +7…+8°C at night. As a rule, this is the coolest month of the year.
In Mediterranean resorts the air warms up to +14…+15°C. The water in the sea is cool, swimming is not recommended.
February
The average temperature in Turkey in winter, in February, is about +12…+13°C during the day and +3…+4°C at night. Sea water is about +14…+17°C. At the beginning of the month, there is an increase in air humidity, a significant amount of precipitation falls, and a cool wind blows. At the end of February, the rains fall less and less, and are replaced by sunny, fine days.

Heating options in Turkey

- Centralized heat supply. Central heating is available, for example, in some houses in Antalya and Mersin. Several apartment buildings, united into a residential complex by a common infrastructure or “site,” are connected to the boiler room. Natural gas and coal are used to heat buildings.
- Air conditioning. Heating in Turkey in winter using air conditioners – the most common way to quickly heat rooms. Literally all apartments in new residential complexes from the developer are delivered with high-quality split systems, which effectively help maintain a comfortable temperature in summer and winter. The main advantages of high-quality air conditioning systems are their efficiency, safety, ease of installation and use. Disadvantage – increased monthly electricity costs.
- Electric batteries. Installation of electric batteries – a good way to heat small apartments in winter. The convenience lies in the fact that, if desired, you can create a comfortable temperature in each individual room and at a certain period of time. For example, turn on heating appliances in the first half of the day in the living room and kitchen, and in the second - in the bedroom and children's room. Some owners supplement wall-mounted electric radiators with UFO-type heaters to heat certain areas of the living space.
- Installation of individual gas and electric boilers. To install the equipment, you will need a separate room, such as a storage room, or part of a terrace. The operation of the boiler can be adjusted depending on the desired temperature in the apartment. In some cases, owners agree and purchase one powerful boiler for several apartments or an entire floor.
